Wandelzug: every move transforms your piece
Collect coins with a piece that changes how it moves after every turn. The pieces move as they do in chess, but the goal is different.
Collect all the coins
Land on every coin square with your piece. The fewer moves you need, the more stars you get.
Your piece changes
After every move it becomes the next piece in the sequence, for example from rook to bishop and then to knight.
Levels, workshop and daily puzzle
240 levels in twenty chapters, 96 of them free, and every day a puzzle that is the same for everyone. In the workshop you build your own levels and share them by code.
Portals, gates with keys, stamp squares and numbered coins gradually add new rules.
The games
Chess
Play the computer on ten difficulty levels, with a friend on the same phone or against players online with a chess clock. Games through “Find an opponent” count towards your chess rating; games with friends by code are unrated.
Game analysis
After the game, analysis highlights important mistakes and better moves. Revisit those positions in mistake training and find a better move yourself.
Learn chess
13 short lessons: how each piece moves, how to capture, escape check and deliver mate. At the end you play your first game.
Chess puzzles
Over 800 verified checkmate puzzles, from mate in 1 to mate in 3. Solve the daily puzzle or try the three-minute sprint.
Sudoku
120 Sudokus, grouped by the technique you need to solve them. With notes, hints and optional mistake checking.
Minesweeper and Connect Four
Minesweeper where every board can be solved without guessing. Connect Four against the computer on four levels.

What does DenkArena cost?
The app is free and shows ads now and then, but never during a game. Premium costs €0.99 a month. Cancel at any time.
Do I need an account?
You can play puzzles and computer games without one. A free account is needed for online chess. It also lets you back up your progress and transfer it to another phone.
Is DenkArena available for iPhone?
At the moment DenkArena is only available for Android.
What data do you store?
Only what the app’s features need. All details are in the privacy policy.
How can I delete my account?
In the app under Settings, or on the delete account page.
